As we move into week seven of the league, it seems as though order has been restored. With

the Animals once again on top and the Celts still lingering at the bottom, an all too

familliar table is unfolding once again.

This week's crack of dawn kick-off features a much improved DaAn side against the always

industrious Japanese.  While DaAn currently sit five places above the Japanese in the table,

the two sides are separated only by a mere two points. With confidence brimming after

completely mauling The Black Stars last weekend, JFC will be looking to leap-frog DaAn to

third spot in the table, with a game in hand. DaAn,on the other hand, will simply be hoping

for their opponents to show up this week, after receieving a free 3-0 scoreline last weekend

when TFC were unable to field a squad.

Sunday's 11:45 match sees two clubs coming off very different results last weekend take to

the rock hard surface of Xin Zhuang in search of three points.  Carnegies will surely be well

up for their match against The Black Stars after finally grabbing their first win of the

campaign last Sunday against the Celts. After Gustavo netted the first, the flood-gates

opened and Carnegies ran out 5-1 winners with "The True English Gentleman" Calvert scoring a

tidy brace. The always ferocious Black Stars will be looking to right the ship after falling

3-0 to JFC last week.  The loss not only cost them their previously perfect record, but also

saw them relinquish top spot as the Animals drew with the Eagles.  One would imagine this one

will be a tempestuous affair, with more than a few cards brandished before the final whistle

is blown.

The third tussle of the day showcases two under-achieving teams attempting to scratch and

claw their way into the top half of the table.  After sitting out the previous installment of

the CPL, the Lion's performances have left much to be desired. With only one victory after

five games played, captain Andy Rooney will surely need to mix things up in an effort to

recapture the winning formula of old.  The Eagles will surely fancy their chances in this one

though, after coming from behind to claim a one all draw against the Animals last week. Add

that result to the fact that they also came away with the plate in the Kaoshiung 7-a-side

tournament, and it's clear to see that the Eagles may finally be hitting their stride.

Sunday's final bout pitts the top of the table animals against fifth spot Shane.  Though the

Animals managed to regain top spot in the league last week, it was not smooth sailing as they

dropped their first points of the year when they failed to kill off the Eagles and ended up

settling for a draw. Fans, players and pundits alike will be watching this one very closely

to see if there really is a chink in the Animals armour, or if last week was simply a blip on

the radar. The boys in black and white could be in a bit of trouble here, as they will have to

overcome the massive boozing session which will surely accompany the latest installment of

Taiwan nuptuals for Mr. Matt Wharton.  While the likes of Jason "The Hunk" Lowe will take

some solace in the late kickoff time, it seems doubtful thatthe Shane boys will be able to

see out the full ninety minutes without someone puking.
