Daan & Blackstars kick Ass PDF Print E-mail
Written by Tim Brown
Taiwanfootball.tv pundit Tim Brown was able to catch the second half of the Daan vs Animals match at Da Jia this past weekend. The pitch was in fine condition despite the wet and windy weather and both teams managed to battle their way successfully through the first half. It was all Daan in the second half though as they applied significant pressure and created several scoring opportunities. Finally Alex scored from a surprising shot from distance that seemed to open the floodgates for 3 more goals, one a fantastic cross (again from Alex) and beautifully headed in by a player whose name escapes me. Final score 4-0, congrats Daan.
Blackstars maul the Lions
Red Lions managed to put up a fight for the first half of a physically tough game against the Blackstars, by only conceding 1 goal. But after Christina Peluso received a red card in the second half the Blackstars started pressing forward more often and the result was a 5-0 drubbing when all was said and done. Lions keeper Volker Nagel made some fine saves and the scoreline could have been worse but the Blackstars were moving down the wings successfully and also completing some nice solo efforts. At one point the Blackstars managed 3 goals in about as many minutes. Well done Blackstars.
