With every team now having at least one match in the books, the 2010 CPL is once again in full swing with four matches slated to take place this coming Sunday. While the two early matches would be sure to cause a conundrum for even the most seasoned of punters, both of the late games look to be nailed-on results.
This week's early kick-off features an all Asian affair as JFC go head to head against TFC. Both sides will be hoping to get off the mark in this one after combining for three losses and a -8 goal difference in only two weeks of league action. Our neghbors from Nippon have to be seen as the favorites in this one, simply based on TFC's utterly dismal performance last time out. A 4-1 thumping at the hands of a nine-man Animals side in the first match of the year must have surely resulted in more than a few TFC players being on the wrong end of a ferocious flogging from a furious Frenchman.
At 11:15, CPL supporters will be treated to another continentlal clash as the Nigerian Eagles look to avoid being stung by the Gambian Scorpions. The aforementioned Eagles will be smarting this week after losing 3-2 to the surprising Lions last week. After going down 1-0 to a ridiculous header from the afro-sporting Chancey, the Eagles fought back to level the affair at 2-2 only to ship the final goal of the match in the dying minutes. The Scorpions on the other hand, will be hoping to move onward and upwards after scraping out a 2-1 victory over cellar-dwelling JFC.
The third fixture of the week pits the high-flying Animals against a Roberts-less Shane side. After losing their long-time guru this week, one fears that Shane will now lack any sort of leadership and find themselves stumbling aimlessly like an incoherant Andy Rogers through the streets of Taipei at 7am on a Sunday morning. The Animals will take no pity though, and look sure to tear this heart-broken Shane side completly to shreds on Sunday. A couple of bucks on the Animals hitting double digits doesn't look to be a bad bet right now!

The final fixture of the day sees the Celts come up against the Red Lions. The Lions have been a bit of a mixed bag this season, losing to the Animals on opening day and then pulling off a shock win against the Eagles last week. Lions strikers such as Tim Brown and Jan Merdinger will surely look to utilize their blistering pace to wreak havok on the Celts dubious defenders. Unless tactical genious russell Curtis can sort out the Celts backlinethis week, it could be another very long day for Scott Milne between the sticks. A few hundred kuai on Timmy B. scoring at any time looks to be a wise wager in this one!
